Denise M. Newton, LCSW
CEO/Lead Psychotherapist

For over 25 years, I've had the joy of collaborating closely with diverse communities across different settings like churches, behavioral health facilities, public schools, nonprofits, and foster care environments. Throughout my journey, I've made it my mission to infuse every interaction with warmth, compassion, and understanding.

Being a Black woman who identifies as cisgender, heterosexual, and Christian is integral to who I am. Grounded in my faith's teachings, I strive to spread warmth and inclusivity in all that I do, embracing diversity and connection at every turn.

I welcome individuals from all walks of life without judgment, honoring their diverse backgrounds and sexual orientations. Our journey together is collaborative, with a flexible approach tailored to your needs. We may experience a range of emotions, from tears to laughter, depending on what feels right for you. I communicate openly and honestly, always with sincerity and respect, even when addressing challenging topics like accountability. Remember, these sessions are dedicated to your growth and well-being, so your thoughts and questions are highly valued and encouraged. You are the expert on you, so please come prepared to put in the effort and work.

Apart from guiding you through life's journey, I am a wife and mom of all adult children. I like to devote my free time to staying abreast of research in my field, exploring a variety of topics, advocating for social justice, and actively promoting fitness and overall health. I find joy in reading, particularly mysteries and autobiographies; I delight in diverse music genres, enjoy watching movies and documentaries, and treasure traveling and attending events with my family as a preferred form of self-care.
